Why it works
Just-picked subtle white tea notes carry a hint of umami which gives the mouthfeel of any mixed drink so much more. Top notes of Japanese pine bring an altogether new lens for drinks whilst the yuzu brings a fresh zestiness. Best with full bodied vodkas or whiskeys, particularly those with a hint of salinity to them.

Your favourite whisky (preferably Japanese or blended Scotch, chilled in the freezer): 50ml

Method
Build in Highball over cubed ice
Pro tip: Pour the Soda & Whisky down the side of the glass rather than over the top of the ice to preserve carbonation and prevent ice cracking.
